Wayne Boyd

Carl Wayne Boyd left this life Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the age of 80.

Wayne was born December 19, 1941 in Baird to Lowell and Florene Axe Boyd.  Wayne graduated from Baird High School in 1960. He received his Bachelor's Degree from McMurry College in 1965, where he was involved in the band, and debate team. Wayne was an accomplished musician, and shared that passion with many others as a private guitar teacher at Brook Mays Music in Dallas and Caldwell Music in Abilene. Except for his short time in Dallas after college, Wayne lived all his life in Baird. He was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church of Baird.  He enjoyed his extended family, and made a special effort to stay in touch with many of them.

Graveside services will be 4:00 PM Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Ross Cemetery Annex, with Travis Reames officiating.
