Telitha Jo Neal of Baird was called home January 27, 2022 at the age of 63. She was surrounded by her loved ones as she peacefully passed on.
Born on July 4, 1958 to Winona and Wilburn Bassinger of Colorado City she was the fourth of 5 children and the youngest daughter. She met the love of her life, Tommy Neal in 1987. On August 22,1987 they married, made their home and raised their family in Baird, Texas. After her graduation from Eula High School, she worked with what she called her second family, at Keaton Kolor in Abilene as a photography technician for many years. Her passion for photography led her to a hobby as a photographer for team sports and events. Telitha recently retired from the State of Texas, Health and Human Resources after 13 years of dedicated service as an administrative assistant.
She was nurturing by nature and that love, kindness and care was extended not only to her family but every person that entered her life. When she married Tommy, she not only became a wife but became an instant mother to his two little girls as well. From the instant she met them, they became her children and she loved them fiercely. She completed her family with the addition of Bradley Wayne in 1990. She cherished the role of mother every day she lived and then was further blessed with three beautiful grandchildren which she adored.
She was preceded in death by her two parents, Winona and Wilburn Bassinger, her brother Rodney Bassinger and her mother and father in-law, Jackie and Gerald Neal.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Tommy Neal, son Bradley Neal of Baird, daughter and son-in-law Charisse and Jose Acosta of League City, and daughter Kendra Dunham of Abilene. She has three beautiful grandchildren who she absolutely adored, Carley Acosta, Brayden Neal and Riley Neal. Telitha also leaves behind siblings Donna Bassinger of Abilene, Cheryl Spencer of Abilene, and Stacey Bassinger of Potosi, as well as Terry and Terri Neal and Geraldine Brumbaugh of Baird.
A memorial service is planned for 2:00 PM Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home, 141 E. 3rd Street in Baird
