Obituary
Rollie Wayne Stennett of Baird passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the age of 89.
Wayne was born October 14, 1933 in Paducah, Texas to Rollie Amos and Winnie Beatrice Clements Stennett. He graduated from Paducah High School in 1951 and attended Denton Barber School. He married Mary Creech on February 12, 1954. She preceded him in death in 2011.
After serving in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956, he made his career as a barber, owning Lobo Barber Shop in Cisco and Wayne Barber Shop in Clyde. He enjoyed camping in Colorado and on the Texas coast and managed a campground in Colorado after retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Stennett; parents Rollie and Beatrice Stennett; brother Weldon Stennett; and sister Melba Campbell.
Wayne is survived by his sons Gary Stennett and wife Cheryl of Cisco and Kent Stennett of Baird; daughter Sandy Fears and husband Bobby of Groesbeck; five grandchildren, Brenna Haussman of Argyle, Marcie Brown and husband David of Cisco, Kevin Stennett and wife Molly of Cisco, Jacob Stennett of Baird and Dylan Stennett of Clyde; and four great-grandchildren, Hailey Wilson, Finley Haussman, Tyler Brown and Troy Stennett.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM Monday, December 5, 2022, at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home. Graveside servces will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Ross Cemetery Spencer Price Addition on Hwy 283 North in Baird.
