Patsy Kay Work of Baird passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the age of 78.
Patsy was born January 2, 1943 in Baird to William Preston (Bill) and Beulah Boydston Work. She attended Baird High School, graduating in 1961, and attended some college. She worked at Works Dry Good Stores in Baird and Clyde, and did volunteer work at churches in both towns. She spent many hours as a volunteer for Abilene Zoo, and had a big heart for loving and caring for all animals, especially her many cats and dogs and her horse, Tony.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Beulah Work; a sister, Cora Virginia Russell; and a brother, John Work.
She is survived by a sister, Martha George, of Abilene; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friend Carla Wristen.
Per Patsy’s wishes, she will be cremated with no memorial services held, and her ashes will be buried with her parents at Ross Cemetery in Baird.
