Obituary

Oran Dale Rush, 80, died at the Baird Nursing Home on June 23, 2023. He was born in Coleman, Texas on September 5, 1942, the son of Clarence Jerry Rush and Velma Montgomery Rush. Growing up with four older sisters, Oran Dale was given lots of sage advice from a very young age which continued throughout his lifetime. Oran Dale never met a stranger and loved getting to know people through hours of conversation about the events of the day.

Oran Dale worked at the Feed Store in Coleman for many years in addition to being a handyman around the house. He was always fascinated with cars and loved tinkering on them. Many hours were spent thinking about what his next car purchase might be. He loved traveling with his mom to South Texas to visit with his sister Mildred and her family.

Oran Dale was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Velma Rush, and by his sisters, Maxine Walker of  Metairie, Louisiana and Wanda Floyd of Coleman, Texas. He is survived by his two sisters Mildred Stroud of Corpus Christi, Texas and Jerry Williams of Mt. Vernon, Washington as well as many nieces and nephews.

Oran Dale will be interred at the Coleman Cemetery next to his parents at a future date.
