Nancy Griffiths Obituary

Nancy Carroll Griffiths, born in Ohio December 17, 1939 to Russell and Viva Conger, passed away May 27, 2022 in Abilene, Texas. She is survived by her sister Jean Conger, son Darby Griffiths, granddaughter Amanda Ervin, dear friends Lynn Rodgers, Debbie Andrew and Winnie Kidwell.

Graduated from East Texas State University, majoring in Speech and Drama in 1962. She was the Recreational Director for the Army Civil Service Department in Germany where she met and married George Griffiths. Had two children, Christine and Darby. She graduated from Texas Tech with Bachelors degree in Recreation in 1986. Also earned English and Education certification, then taught English in Gallup, New Mexico. Nancy then retired to Abilene Texas in 2006 where she became a member of the Red Hats community and United Spiritual Church.

She loved musicals, theater and writing. Nancy lived, laughed and enjoyed life, had 15 minutes of fame and says so long.
