Martha (Coley) Lynn

Martha Coley Lynn of Rusk, formerly of Baird, passed from this life Monday, January 2, 2023, at the age of 74.

Martha was born June 23, 1948 in Baird to J.R. and Lillie Belle (Conlee) Coley.  She attended Baird High School and later received her GED and completed classes at Cisco College. She married Leon Lynn on December 2, 1967 and they settled in Baird. 

Martha held many jobs over the years, including working as a representative for Home Interiors Inc. She retired from her clerical position at Baird High School in 2010. Martha was an outgoing, friendly, and compassionate person. She was quick to help wherever she was needed and was a wonderful, caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leon Lynn, sisters Mildred Griffith and Gayle Phillips, and a brother, Dale Coley

She is survived by sons Chris Lynn and wife Kim of Rusk and Britt Lynn and wife Candace of San Antonio; grandchildren Kyla Lynn, Callie Lynn, and Kolby Lynn; a sister, Lana Carpenter and Husband Stanley of Clyde; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services under the direction of Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Clyde Cemetery, with David Acevedo of First Baptist Church Baird officiating.
