Linda Ann Hamel

Linda Ann Hamel went to be with the Lord and her much loved husband, Rick Hamel wednesday September 21, 2022 at the age of 72. She was born in Tahoka, Tx on October 26, 1949 to Clarence and Muriel Cox Janes. Linda graduated from Clyde High School in 1967.

She married Richard Nelson Hamel in Clyde on June 15, 1985. They met "on the road" for they were both "big rig" drivers. They drove across the country with their 2 white poodles Gypsy and Prissy for many many years before they bought land near Clyde and had a farm with their much loved animals. 

Linda later worked for Mike Tschaar Heating and Air Conditioning in Abilene, Tx for many years. Linda was a warm, loving and very sharing person. She was always there for you and much loved by all that met her.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Clarence Janes, Mother, Muriel Cox Janes, Aunt, Brenda Janes, Husband, Rick Hamel and Uncle, Eddie Janes. She is survived by her sister Brenda Joyce Peak of Dickinson, Tx; Niece Shonna Marie Peak of Granbury, Tx; Nephew Jesse Benjamin Peak of Abilene, Tx; Step daughter Riquel Hall of Martinsburg, PA and Great nephew Sterling Cooper Bates of Granbury, Tx.

She and her husband decided to be cremated and their ashes spread over the gulf waters of Corpus Christi, Tx. This will be done by her sister, niece and nephew. She will greatly be missed by her family and many friends.

Visitation with the family will be 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home, 141 E. 3rd Street in Baird. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 3, 2022, at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home Chapel.
