Jimmy Joe “Lucky” Walker

Jimmy Joe “Lucky” Walker was born October 23, 1962, in Abilene, Texas, and died November 12, 2023, in Baird, Texas. His parents were James and Clyda (Smith) Walker.

Lucky was a longtime resident of Baird.  He was quiet, kind, and quick with a smile. Whether hunting for deer, shooting at cans with his nephew, fishing or just walking around town, Lucky was happiest when spending time outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Charles Leslie "Hoot" Walker, and sister Clyda Ursula "Sug" Baum. 

He is survived by his sister, Pattie Keath and husband Travis, brother-in-law Terry Peeples, nieces and nephew Becca Ahern and husband Allen, Brooke Schafer and husband Paul, Jill Baum and Matthew Keath; and great-nephews and niece Austin and Autumn Ahern and Brandon Schafer.

Lucky was loved by his family and will be greatly missed. 

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday November 25, 2023, at the Admiral Cemetery.
