Obituary
Jessie Scott Chavarria of Abilene left this life Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the age of 57.
Jessie was born March 21, 1966 in Hale Center, Texas to Adan R. and Luisa Cantu Chavarria. He was a 1984 graduate of Albany High School, then served in the United States Navy during the Gulf War. After his military service, Jessie worked in the oilfield for many years. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and always rooted for his hometown Albany Lions.
Jessie was preceded in death by his parents, Adan and Luisa Chavarria.
He is survived by a daughter, Jessica Alford from Las Vegas, Nevada; a son, Thomas Adam Chavarria of Dallas; brothers Leonard Chavarria and wife Chris and Luis Chavarria, all of Abilene; sisters Diane Camacho and husband Steven of Angleton, and Connie Chavarria of Abilene. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Graveside services under the direction of Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Albany Cemetery, Hwy 283 North of Albany with Stan Alcorn officiating.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Chavarria, Michael Ziegenhagen, Chris Cogburn, Michael Ochoa, Dominic Carrillo, Xander Carillo. Honorary pallbearers will be Ector Gomez, David Gomez, Scott Presley and Derwin Sheppard.
