Obituary
Jack Moss Plunk went to be with his Savior Monday, January 31, 2022, at the age of 89. He passed away suddenly at his home in Baird after an extended illness.
Jack was born July 29, 1932 in Mineola, Texas to Melvin and Gracie Mae Plunk. He married Johnnie Marie Bell on April 27, 1952. The couple had eight children, and would have celebrated 70 years of marriage in April.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, two brothers, a son-in-law, and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Plunk; four daughters, Debbie Bryant of Kerrville, Joyce Clayton of Stamford, Jackie Kidd and husband Nathan of Eastland, and Barbara Davidson and husband Buster of Clyde; four sons, Leonard Plunk and wife Carmie of San Antonio, Larry Plunk of Abilene, Billy Plunk and wife Debbie of Eula, and Kenny Plunk and wife Kaci of Oglesby; 22 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM Monday, February 7, 2022 Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home, 141 E. 3rd Street in Baird. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 7457 West Lake Road in Abilene, with Reverend Jimmy Hatcher officiating. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
The family requests those attending visitation wear masks.
