Guyman Crabtree Henry of Bridgeport, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the age of 90.
Guyman was born April 16, 1932 in Whitesboro, Texas to Fred and Virginia Isham Henry. He graduated from Russett High School in Russett, Oklahoma, where he served as Vice-President of the senior class of 1951. He was an amazing athlete, and team captain in all sports. Guyman worked as a drilling consultant, and enjoyed fishing and camping. He married the love of his life, Vivian Gayle Cunningham on June 24, 1964. The couple was married 52 years before she preceded him in death in 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Fred and Virginia Henry, wife; Gayle, siblings; Zelma Herron, Mary Robison, Dorothy Browning, Sylvia Ostby, Billy Amyett, Margaret (Ann) Cohen, Gene Henry, and Freda Clifton, and grandson; Garrett Henry.
Survivors include four children; Tobie Hart and husband Pete of Bridgeport, Robby Henry and wife Mendy of San Antonio, Bobby Henry and wife Kristen of Haltom City, and Kandy McCorkle and husband Barry of Burleson, grandchildren; Brian Hart, Audra Hart, Lauren DelAngel, Taylor Braden, Brittney Byres, Mikayla Croft, Jacob Henry, Jared Henry, Qing Hui Henry, Guo Henry, Michael McCorkle, and Meagan McCorkle; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home, 141 E. 3rd Street in Baird, Texas. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 AM in the Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Ross Cemetery Annex. Pallbearers will be Brian Hart, Michael McCorkle, Jacob Henry, Jared Henry, Guo Henry, Qing Hul Henry, Wylie Wagoner, and Austin Wagoner.
“Guyman died with his boots on”, and will be dearly missed by all those he left behind.
