Gerald Lee "Jerry" Goad ,76, of Abilene, passed away on Monday, June 27,2022 in the presence of his brother. Jerry attended church in Abilene and was very much Loved by family and friends. If you had the opportunity to listen to one of the many stories he loved to tell, you were truly blessed. Jerry served in the US Army and was awarded the Bronze star for his acts of heroism during the Vietnam War.
A celebration of his life, under the direction of Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home of Baird, will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, 701 S. Pioneer Drive in Abilene at 11am. Burial will be at The Texas State Veterans cemetery.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents James C. & Mary Lou Goad; wife Jeanne Goad; brother Jimmy Goad and beloved one Teresa Goad.
He is survived by his brother David and wife Darlene Goad of Anson; sister Lynda and husband Eric Martin of Houston; son Michael and wife Lisa of Georgia; son Delbert of Las Vegas; daughter Tammey and husband Brian of Weatherford; son Gerald of New Jersey; son Cecil and wife Kim of Weatherford; son Ralph of Granbury; 5 step children, Sucinda, Sean, Ben, Pete, Ronnie;10 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
