George Lee Henry, 84, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, at Clyde Nursing Home in Clyde, Texas.
George was born on January 18, 1942, in Harpersville, Texas, to Willie Lee Henry (Herring) and George W. Henry. He was raised in Moran, Texas, a place he always considered home.
George was a man of simple joys and creative spirit. He loved building birdhouses, spending hours carefully crafting them with pride and patience. He also enjoyed drawing, expressing his creativity in quiet and meaningful ways. In his leisure time, you could often find him watching his favorite John Wayne movies or listening to the timeless music of Elvis Presley. These were the things that brought him comfort and happiness.
Those who knew George will remember his kindness and his unforgettable laugh. His warm spirit and gentle nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had a way of bringing lightness into a room and will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
George is survived by his brothers, Marvin Henry and Danny Henry; his sister-in-law, Patti Henry; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Lee Henry and George W. Henry.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Clyde Nursing Home and Hospice of the Big Country for their compassionate care, kindness, and support shown to George and his family during his final days.
George’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Though he is no longer with us, the love, laughter, and warmth he shared will never be forgotten.
Graveside service for George will be Sunday, February 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Moran Cemetery.
