Gary Lee Robertson, Jr.

Gary Lee Robertson, Jr., age 56, of Clyde, TX, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Hendrick Hospice Care Facility in Abilene. He was born in Abilene, TX on September 13, 1962 to the late Gary Lee Robertson, Sr. and Ruby Mae (Storey) Robertson. Gary was a self-employed floor installer.

Gary, also known as “Pop” by his family, was a simple, hard-working man. He married Norma Linda (Valdez) in Abilene, TX on September 7, 1983 and they were long-time residents of Clyde, TX. He enjoyed the outdoors, loved gardening, Bar-B-Queuing and drinking an ice-cold beer with family and friends. He loved motorcycles, watching westerns and in his free time, you could catch him playing Candy Crush. Gary’s last few years have been very difficult, due to an accident that left him unable to work. The family finds comfort in knowing that Gary is pain free and rejoicing with the King. Gary cherished his family and will be missed dearly by all.

Robertson; son: Gary Lee Robertson, III and wife Mindi of Aspermont, TX; daughter: Laura Leigh Robertson and husband Chris Martin of Abilene; sister: Robbie Davis and husband James of Hawley, TX; brother: Greg Robertson and wife Linda of Hamby, TX; his precious grandbabies: Rylee and Braxton Robertson, and Christopher, Kayeden and Kenleigh Martin; nieces and nephews: Crystal Hudson, Tamara Elliot, Stephanie Hudson, Jamie Wilson, Amber Courson, Joe, Eric and Jaci Sylvia, Kristen Ashton, Natalie and Hannah Guerrero, Kelby Valdez and Ashley Lopez; sisters-in-law: Lety Guerrero and husband Micah of Denton, TX and Elsa Silva and husband Joe of Clyde; brothers-in-law: Jeremy Valdez of Abilene, Richard Valdez of Denton Valley, Henry Valdez and wife Sharron of Eula, Gilbert Valdez and wife Carmen, and Herman Valdez and wife Lynn of Tuscola, TX; his father and mother-in-law: Robert and Mary Valdez of Denton Valley and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Gary’s parents: Gary Robertson Sr. and Ruby Mae preceded him in death.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Parker Funeral Home in Baird, TX.
