Dolorez Rodriguez of Baird left this life Tuesday, May 5, 2020, just four days short of her 90th birthday.
Dolorez was born May 9, 1930 in Millsap, Texas to Asencion and Fernanda Caslaneda Aparicio. She married Frank C. Rodriguez on October 22, 1955, and the couple had three children.
She loved crocheting and knitting, and her true passion was singing in the church choir at First Baptist Church, where she and Frank served for many years.
Dolorez was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Frank; sisters Ruth, Martha and Ramona Harris; brothers Simon and Cecil Aparicio.
She is survived by her daughters Mona Lisa and Norma of Baird, and son Frankie and wife Kellye of Andrews; one grandchild, Kortni Pool and husband Brandon; and three great-grandsons, Bayne, Bryker and Blayde of Lamesa.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, May 8, 2020 at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be be 10:30 AM Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Ross Cemetery Annex with Bro. Jimmy Hatcher officiating. Due to current Covid-19 guidelines, persons attending the viewing and service are reminded to practice social distancing and wearing of facial masks is recommended. The number of people allowed in the funeral home for viewing will be limited by current State and Funeral Service Commission guidelines and guest will be asked to view and then exit the building to allow others to enter.
The family suggests memorials to Hendrick Hospice Care and the Baird Cemetery Association.
