Carlos Cerda

Carlos Cerda passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the age of 65. He was born September 1, 1959 to Pedro and Concha Olvera Cerda.

Carlos was a member of The American Legion of Baird. He loved to play in pool tournaments, ride his Harley and dance cumbias.

Carlos is preceded in death by his parents Pedro and Concha Cerda; brothers Frank, Manuel, Arthur and Grabiel Cerda; and sister Estella Moreno.

He is survived by brothers Pedro Jr and wife Freda Cerda of Clyde, Michael Cerda of Austin, Matthew Cerda of California and Joe Cerda of Dallas; sisters Yolanda and husband Jose Torres of Abilene, Concha Cerda of Abilene, Becky and husband Danny Carrion of Abilene and Lydia and husband Benito Hernandez of Fort Worth; numerous nieces and nephews along with several special friends.

A memorial gathering and celebration of Carlos' life will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at American Legion Post 82, 100 Chestnut Street in Baird.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donating to The American Legion of Baird.
