It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carley Carrico Lethco, who left us on November 27, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on April 21, 1949, in Baird, Texas. She attended Baird high school where she was drum majorette, graduating in 1967. Pursuing higher education, she earned her Bachelor's degree in English from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene and her Master's in Education from Sul Ross University in Alpine. Carley dedicated nearly 40 years to teaching, sharing her passion for education and English with countless students
Carley was a vibrant spirit who adored her family and friends. She had a great love for horses, fashion, traveling, and the beach, and she was immensely proud of her Texas and Italian heritage. She embodied generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Carley is survived by her husband, Lenord Lethco; her sons, Wil Lethco and Larmer Lethco; her granddaughter, Michaela Lethco; and her sister, Lisa Green. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Dorothy “Dort” Carrico. Flowers can be sent to Parker-Jacob’s Funeral home in Baird, Texas. Donations can be made in her name to the Susan G. Komen foundation or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 PM Friday, December 12, 2025, at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home. Services will be held at the Methodist Church in Baird Saturday December 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Ross Cemetery.
