Bennie E. Davis

Bennie Edwynn Davis, 74, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at home. He was born July 13, 1945 in Ada, Oklahoma to Jack Justin Davis and Effie Mae (Tavis) Davis.

Bennie graduated high school in Ada, Oklahoma, and joined the United States Air Force in 1966. He retired in 1986 as 1st Sergeant. Bennie received several awards and medals during his military career. He was a die hard fan of Nascar and Westerns, and his idol was John Wayne.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, David, Jimmie and Jack; and two sisters, Martel and Ramona.

Bennie leaves behind four sons, Michael Davis of Oklahoma, Justin and wife Michelle of Anson, Scott and Karla Davis of Baird, and Kevin and Kerri Davis of Baird.  He also leaves behind grandchildren Josh Davis of Oklahoma; Kutter, Kollin and Preston Davis, all of Baird; Raven Davis, Robyn Waters and husband Matthew, and Conner Davis, all of Ruidoso, New Mexico; and great-granddaughter Natalie Waters of Ruidoso, New Mexico.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM Monday, March 9, 2020 at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home, 141 E. 3rd Street in Baird.  Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home Chapel, with Charles Goodnight officiating.  Burial will be at Ross Cemetery.
