A.L. "Mickey" Kelly

A.L. "Mickey" Kelly left this life on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at the age of 89

Mickey was born December 13, 1929 in Sylvester to Willie Lee and Cora Early Kelly.  He and his bride of 71 years, Carrie Jewell Essary, lived in Snyder, Abilene and Clyde before making Baird their home.  He was a mechanic by trade, but also worked in dirt construction. He loved cars and horses.  Mickey was a generous man, and would do anything for anyone. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Dave, Richard and Marvin; two sisters, Ruby and Jeannie; and a granddaughter, Tracy Gilley.

He is survived by his wife, Jewell; his son, Foy Kelly and wife Marie of Baird; daughters Linda Walker and husband Mike, and Mickey Gwen Calvin and husband Marvin, all of Baird; a sister, Colleen Faught of Abilene; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home, 141 E. Third in Baird. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM at Ross Cemetery Annex.
